Each year, this plaque is passed on to the new National Distinguished Principal from the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals. The most recent NDP is requested to display the plaque at his/her school, since the award represents not only the Principal, but the school community as well.
It is suggested that only the name and the date of the individual should be placed on the next nameplate for the new NDP. The plaque should be returned to VAESP around March of each year to be able to pass it on the newest NDP for the year. Please contact VAESP (804-355-6791) for additional information.
